The Maternal Life International logo represents safe motherhood, AIDS prevention, Fertility Awareness and the great value we attach to the life and dignity of the human person.

• The white branch of the ribbon represents the international "white ribbon" symbol for safe motherhood.
• The red branch is taken from the international "red ribbon" symbol for the AIDS crisis.
• The red and white branches join in the center, symbolizing the need to integrate HIV prevention and care into the substance of safe motherhood to improve women's health and prevent mother-to-child transmission of AIDS.
• The beads represent MLI's Bead System of Fertility Awareness that promotes both natural and healthy reproductive choices and spacing of children.
• The gold color emphasizes the great value we attach to the life and dignity of the human person in all aspects of our program development and implementation.

We will deliver to women and families in substance what our logo represents in symbol. We offer the hope that comes from healthy life choices and practical life-saving interventions -- from antiretroviral treatments that prevent mother-to-child transmission of AIDS to medications that stop post-partum hemorrhage.
